The Bashmask bonding curve is 9 days into the 14 day sale period. We have been talking to the community and everybody is super eager to get to the actual mask reveal so the fun can begin.
So instead of waiting for the full 14 day sale window to pass, we are excited to announce that the Bashmask bonding curve sale will be closing early and everybody’s masks will be revealed!
Closing the sale early creates a slight issue about what to do with the unsold masks. After discussing this with the community an answer came from an unlikely (or perhaps the most likely) place: Cobie.
While CryptoCobain was referring to waifusionbsc.sexy, we think the idea has a lot of merit and would be a great solution for Bashmasks as well. So along with closing the bonding curve sale and revealing each of the 16,384 Bashmasks, we will be doing the following with the unsold masks…
All unsold masks will go into the “dungeon.”
People will be able to interact with the imprisoned Bashmasks in the following two ways:
- Masks can be purchased out of the dungeon for 1.25 BNB (the price at which the bonding curve will close) but the masks purchased from the dungeon will be random.
- Users can swap out any unwanted masks from their collection for random masks out of the dungeon. This swap will cost .25 BNB and the unwanted masks swapped in will be burned.
For this to happen all unsold masks need to be moved out of the present smart contract into a new (“the Dungeon”) contract. Due to the secure and trustless way in which the initial Bashmask contract was built, we can’t just take the masks out — once deployed it is untamperable and the only way to remove the Bashmasks is for them to be purchased.
To accomplish this we will be taking the BNB raised through the sale thus far and “purchasing” all the masks out of the contract. This will officially close out the bonding curve sale and reveal all the the masks. Following this, 100% of the unsold masks will be transferred into the new Dungeon contract and locked up.
